Bell Wine Cellars, located just south of Yountville, CA, in the premium wine growing region of Napa Valley, is currently seeking TWO interns to join us during the 2018 harvest period. . One intern will be more laboratory focused, while the other will be more cellar focused, however, not exclusively.
We are committed to handcrafting limited edition bottlings of extraordinary wines that reflect the terroir of their vineyards and the care and passion of their growers. This internship will provide the opportunity to be a part of a very small winemaking team, which consists of our Head Winemaker, Assistant Winemaker, and Cellar Master. A multifaceted internship, interns will gain experience in the vineyard/cellar/lab, and interact on a daily basis with the owner and head winemaker, Anthony Bell.
The ideal candidate(s) would have minimum one previous harvest experience, education in winemaking /viticulture, a strong work ethic, passionate about wine, capable of following specific instructions, work well in a fast paced work environment, and be a team player.
Interns should be at least 21 years of age, able to lift over 50 pounds, climb barrels for sampling, stand and be on their feet for extended periods of time, have a valid driver’s license, willing to work nights and weekends, and a strong grasp of the English language.
We do not provide housing or transportation, but we can help with both if needed. Pay depends on experience.
Both interns will start August 15th, and finish November 15th.
