Fairsing Vineyard is a family-owned vineyard and winery in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. We produce estate-grown Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Rose, which we market directly to consumers. We also sell fruit to some of the finest winemakers in the Willamette Valley.
Position:
This position is for Full and/or Part Time candidates looking to join our team for the 2018 season. Tasting Room Associates must exhibit exemplary customer service skills, be effective with retail sales and have a commitment to growing our wine club. The individual must nurture an atmosphere of teamwork, enthusiasm, and passion for Fairsing Vineyard’s brand and wines. This is a seasonal position with room for growth. The right candidate could be asked to return the following year.
Responsibilities:
• Execute wine sales through tasting room and wine clubs
• Warmly welcome our guests and introduce them to Fairsing Vineyard’s brand and wines with the goal of creating new and repeat customers
• Create outstanding visitor experiences that result in wine sales
• Maintain a friendly, warm and clean tasting room and outdoor environment
• Expand sales and retain wine club members
• Support inventory management and order fulfillment
Skills and Abilities:
• Proved ability to be an effective supporter of team members
• Outstanding customer service skills and ability to resolve issues in a positive manner
• Ability to provide customers with outstanding wine tasting experiences
• A passion for fine wine and willingness to learn more
• Detail oriented organizational skills and multitasking capabilities
• Ability to operate point-of-sales systems
• Flexibility to work weekends, some evenings and holidays
• 21 years of age or older with professional appearance and attitude
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Compensation:
Fairsing Vineyard offers competitive pay and employees will earn commissions on wine club sign-up and tips.
