Job Summary

 

Tsillan Cellars is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Tasting Room Manager to promote excellent customer experiences in our tasting room.  The position would entail managing and supervising tasting room staff and ensuring all tasting room duties and operations are met and executed efficiently. The Tasting Room Manager is a full-time position. Communication with the winery owner and the rest of the management team is essential.

 

About the Winery

 

Tsillan Cellars is an all estate winery located in Chelan, WA. The winery grows over 14 varietals and produces everything on the estate. Tsillan Cellars opened its second tasting room in Woodinville, WA in December of 2016. The winery is located in the new Gateway District of Woodinville, an upcoming wine tasting destination.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

 

  • Interviewing, hiring and training tasting room staff.

  • Ensure tasting room staff are knowledgeable about the wine.

  • Maintain a clean, friendly, and welcoming environment for all customers at all times.

  • Schedule staff to meet tasting room needs.

  • Perform regular inventory counts.

  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals.

  • Accurately cash in and cash out the register on a daily basis.

  • Coordinate and execute special tasting room events.

  • Strong communication with winery owner and management staff.

 

Skills & Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years of proven management experience in tasting room/hospitality setting.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Knowledge of wine and wine production.

  • Experience with a POS system.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to motivate tasting room staff.
