Description:
DeLille Cellars is looking for an experienced and qualified sales representative to manage its direct/self-distributed wine sales business in Western Washington, primarily King County. December 1, 2018 anticipated start date.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for selling DeLille Cellars wine to restaurants and retail accounts
- Service accounts (respond to inquiries, present products, obtain orders, and resolve complaints, etc.)
- Execute orders efficiently and accurately based on the delivery needs of each account and the company’s order processing and delivery schedule
- Build and maintain existing and new strong account relationships
- Scout for and open new accounts
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets and other company objectives
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the company and its wines, including the winery’s history, production methods, vineyard sources, style of wines, and other details
- Assist in developing and implementing pricing and programming
- Maintain sales records and submit reports to management in a timely fashion
- Plan and attend promotional events, tastings, and trade shows
- Assist retail customers with resets and both retailers and restaurants with product information, staff training, and POS
- Monitor competition by gathering market information on pricing and programming, products, delivery schedule, and merchandising techniques, etc.
- Attend periodic sales meetings, product trainings, and winery events
Job Requirements:
- Expected work schedule of four days of account visits and one day of admin, planning, and follow up
- Willingness to work hours needed to perform job function, including weekends and after hours
- Well-developed existing sales skills, principally prospecting and closing
- Knowledge of wine and wine industry; previous industry experience required
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and relationship building skills
- Facilitate regular communication with existing and potential account base, utilizing CRM tools
- Possesses high ability to assess and initiate business independently/without direction; organized
- Team player in working with sales support and company admin staff
- Goal driven and strong aptitude to work with deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs on occasion
- Hardworking and enthusiastic; exceptional customer service skills
- Proficiency with computer programs such as the Microsoft Office Suite
- College degree preferred
