We are seeking the right candidate to join the team at our busy Estate Tasting Salon in Windsor. Our tastings emphasize the experience of visiting the Estate with its Lakeside Pavilions, The Terrace at Block 23, award winning wines and 15 miles of hiking trails. The Tasting Room & Events Lead is responsible for 1) setting the tone of a guest experience that promotes the sale of wine, wine club membership and brand loyalty. 2) establishing best practices in the Tasting Room for the guest experience and for the complete provisioning of the tasting salons 3) leading the team toward reaching planned goals of wine sales and wine club sign ups 4) taking the lead in maintaining the tasting reservations calendar and wine club communications, and 5) acting as the main point of contact, both internally and externally, in the planning and execution of winery events (both on-site and off-site)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE possesses:
•  a working knowledge of premium and luxury wine
•  a passion for wine and food
•  an outgoing personality
•  fabulous people skills
•  a willingness to perform a number of varying tasks, often on the same day
•  the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
•  3-5 years hospitality experience (tasting room, restaurant, hotel)
•  3 years experience in tasting room operations.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Manage the tastings appointment calendar.
•  Maintain the tasting salons environments by ensuring that they are inviting and appealing.
•  Set the tone for a great tasting experience at the Tasting Salons
•  Oversee the stocking and prepping of the tasting salons.
•  Act as contact for guests via email, phone and in person (on site).
•  Promotion and sales of Notre Vue Wine Club
•  Plan and execute winery events
•  Ensure all sales and orders are promptly and properly processed in the POS system.
•  Accurately complete end of day reports, reconcile daily sales and posts transactions.
•  Support Tasting Room business development efforts with local outreach and promotion.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
•  Ability and desire to work weekends (that is when we see most of our guests!).
•  Passionate about people connections.
•  Strong multi-tasking skills.
•  Enjoys working in a team environment.
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•  College Degree preferable
•  Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, POS and CRM software
•  Experience with e-commerce, shipment planning and logistics a plus.
•  Valid CA driver’s license with clean driving record.
•  Lift up to 40 pounds (a case of wine).
•  Must be 21 years of age.
