Job Description: If you are passionate about wine and spirits and a team player, one of Westchester's top wine shops is looking for you! Westchester Wine Warehouse, located in White Plains, New York has openings for full time Wine & Spirits Sales Associates. 

Our store is centrally located in Westchester County and is a 15 year established retail store, providing superior selection, knowledgeable advice and sales expertise in wine and spirits. We are searching for new sales talent to help manage our growth.

Position Summary: We are looking for talented, motivated professionals to join our sales team. The candidate needs strong interpersonal skills, the ability and willingness to work and succeed in a busy environment. 

Our ideal candidate will have a working and thorough knowledge of wine and wine regions from around the world, as well as the ability and most importantly the passion to relate your knowledge to our customers in a friendly manner. You will be at the forefront in greeting and cultivating relationships with customers, providing wine recommendations, wine and food pairings, and making sure that customers have a positive experience in the store. 

Qualifications: 

• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to cultivate relationships with customers by ascertaining and understanding their wine preferences and earning their trust.
• Have strong knowledge of the wine world so that you can speak comfortably and confidently about all major wine producing regions.
• Willing to continue to taste, learn and participate in tastings both on-site and off to further your wine knowledge.
• Ability to lift and carry a wine case.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Telephone sales skills (primarily, the ability to cold call and make wine recommendations).
• Knowledge of food and wine pairing.
• Professional appearance and a positive demeanor.
• 2 years prior experience in restaurant or retail wine store, distributor or importer of wine.
• Professional education in wine and/or spirits or culinary arts is a plus.

Compensation:

• Base Salary plus commission, commensurate with experience
