This position will be based in Western Massachusetts (primary focus on Pioneer Valley & The Berkshires).
Successful candidates must live in this area, and have a minimum of 2 years experience working in the wine and spirits industry as a sales rep for a wholesale wine distributor, retailer, or supplier. You must have strong selling, organizational, and communication skills, and solid wine knowledge. You must also have a reliable car, a MA drivers license, and be a MA resident.
The Job and Responsibilities:
- Building new distribution in both on and off premise accounts throughout the assigned territories, while maintaining strong relationships with established customers by growing incremental placements.
- Provide exemplary sales and ongoing customer service for all accounts, in addition to supporting accounts with wine tastings, dinners, events, etc.
- Attend monthly sales meetings, annual portfolio tastings, and other company events.
- Be able to lift 45 lbs.
Compensation:
Base Salary + Commission + benefits
