8 Chains North seeks a part-time, year-round Tasting Room Associate. We are a growing winery that prides itself on its Old-World-style wines. The winery atmosphere is friendly, casual, and inviting. Most importantly, we are looking for someone to join our team who truly enjoys interacting with guests. Applicants should have exceptional customer service skills. They should also wish to create the most memorable wine tasting experience possible. Therefore, ideal candidates for a winery job in Loudoun County are friendly, sales oriented, and possess basic wine knowledge. Finally, applicants must have two years’ experience in wine, hospitality, or retail sales industries. If you like being part of a fun and cohesive team, enjoy great wine, and would like to share that with our amazing customers
Job Requirements
- Ability to work weekends, evening events, and some holidays
- Perform opening and closing duties: stock wine, take out trash and recyclables, and keep the tasting room organized and functional
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Good people skills; the ability to connect with diverse groups of people
- Good business sense and a creative desire to increase wine sales and club memberships
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs
