Description

Assist operators and perform basic product movements and processing necessary on the wines optimizing quality in the most efficient manner at SMWE Northstar facility in Walla Walla, WA 

•Assist Operators in setting up equipment, pumping grapes and wine to tanks and barrels, chemical additions, sanitation, and other cellar work as needed. 

•Responsible for the various duties relating to the completion of work orders, safety checks, wine processes, reporting off standards, wash down and clean up, performing specified equipment maintenance and sanitizing work area.

•Shovel pumice 

•Maintain a positive relationship encouraging strong communication and teamwork.

•Operate presses or other winery equipment. 

•Perform light mechanical duties.

•Work with hazardous chemicals, operate equipment with moving parts. 

•A significant amount of overtime is required during heavy production periods and some shift work may be required.

•May be required to work in Confined Space.

•Heavy physical labor necessary. 

•Able to pull 60 lbs. on cellar floor, turn empty barrels., set barrels on pallets, and shovel pumice. 

•Able to work on concrete floors all shift.

•Able to work in Confined Space. 

Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent required. 

•Must be at least 21 years of age. 

•Light mechanical ability.

•Must be able to pull 60 lbs and perform heavy physical labor, and work on concrete floors for entire shift.

•Must be able to read, speak, and write English. 

•History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
