Tasting Room Sales Associate (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

L’Ecole No 41 winery is seeking a motivated, sales-oriented person to join our close-knit team as a part-time Tasting Room Sales Associate at the historic Lowden Schoolhouse. The Tasting Room Sales Associate is the first point of contact for our guests, with an engaging and welcoming attitude, focused on the guest experience and education. We are looking for a person with a passion for wine to grow L’Ecole’s brand loyalty and to help achieve monthly sales and wine club goals. This position is a great introduction and opportunity to the wine industry.

The candidate:
Our Tasting Room Sales Team Members are essential to creating a positive, long-lasting memory of L’Ecole through exceptional guest interactions both in our Tasting Room, as well as periodically through outbound phone sales consultation and at off-site events. The ideal candidate is motivated, has a passion for wine, an eagerness to learn, an eye for detail, and enjoys creating the best customer experience for each guest.
Must be 21 years of age, has or can obtain a MAST card and a Walla Walla County Health Department Food Handler Permit. Hours may include both weekdays and weekends. Physical requirement includes the ability to carry 50+ pounds and to stand for extended periods of time.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
•  Greet each guest warmly and in a timely manner
•  Present a professional, positive demeanor to customers
•  Pour, present and sell wine
•  Actively present & promote benefits of our wine club
•  Share the story of L’Ecole N° 41, our Estate Vineyards - Seven Hills & Ferguson, the Walla Walla Valley Appellation
•  Explain L’Ecole’s winemaking philosophy
•  Consult guests on general wine country information
•  Provide guests with a positive and memorable experience
•  Maintain the tasting room sales floor, including merchandise
•  Periodically perform outbound phone campaigns to attain monthly team sales goals
•  Participate in monthly Tasting Room Team meetings
