Harvest Intern (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

POSITION SUMMARY:
Join the Dusted Valley team during harvest for a chance to gain quality focused hands-on, small winery experience. We are looking for hard working individuals with a passion for wine and winemaking to join our team. This is an opportunity to advance your skills in small lot, detail oriented winemaking. You will get to work with fruit of great vineyards from all parts of the Columbia, Yakima, and Walla Walla Valleys. This position will be integral in helping to facilitate daily harvest and winemaking responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Assist with daily fermentation monitoring including tank temperatures, cap inspection and management
- Sort and process fruit
- Read and execute work orders
- Equipment sanitation
- Lab analysis
- Assist Winemakers and enologist as needed. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be available to work mid-August through early December (Depending on vintage).
- Must be pursuing, or have completed a wine related degree program.
- One previous harvest experience in winery production is required.
- This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age. 
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends and overtime.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Forklift certified would be a plus.
