YOUR LEADERSHIP
The Hospitality Coordinator plans, directs and leads all aspects of the winery’s front of the house operational needs, objectives and initiatives. This position is responsible for the overall guest experience of the winery as he/she sets the pace, direction, focus and culture of the tasting room and events. This role must demonstrate skill in a variety of hospitality practices with a focus on service excellence and sales. To be successful in this role, the candidate must have experience in hospitality services, events, team management, HR practices, operational processes and fiscal administration.

This position consults directly with head winemakers to oversee, implement, and manage multiple disciplines including, but not limited to:

•  Building and influencing a dynamic, energetic, positive, service driven culture by consistently living the Abeja values
•  Creating a working environment that is service oriented and collaborative 
•  Role modeling expectations of elevated guest arrival and departure experiences
•  Consistently demonstrating the warm, caring and genuine service style that is the hallmark of the guest experience
•  Partnering with the Winemakers to develop continuous improvement strategies for the tasting room and events

JOB SPECIFICS
•  As the working floor supervisor, be present in the tasting room hosting guests through tastings, as well as coaching & developing team members 
•  Responsible for keeping tasting room clean, organized and set-up for guest arrival; maintain appropriate PAR levels
•  Prepare weekly schedules for tasting room and winery events taking into consideration fluctuations in the business to control labor costs
•  Partner with Inn Keeper to maintain appropriate retail inventory, as well as to plan and implement exceptional winery events 
•  Partner with Direct to Consumer Manager to identify mailing list needs and goals
•  Process payroll for tasting room and event team members before deadline each pay period
•  Address all human resources related issues in a professional and timely manner
•  Performs and submits accurate monthly inventory counts to Seattle Support Center Accounting Dept.
•  Has a strong affinity for wine and consistently strives to improve one’s own wine knowledge
•  Always complies with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the serving and consumption of alcohol 
•  Positively represent winery at off site events, as needed
•  Expect to work nights, weekends and holidays; this job is a full-time non-exempt (hourly) position
•  This role reports directly to the Winemakers

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
•  At least two years of related experience; experience in a hospitality capacity preferred
•  Must possess strong organizational and customer service skills
•  Proficient with Microsoft Office (WORD, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
•  Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
•  Ability to perform essential functions on a computerized Point of Sale system
•  Working knowledge and ability to perform wine tastings
•  Working knowledge of the proper operation of a tasting room
•  Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
•  Working knowledge of proper cash handling procedures
•  WA State food handlers permit and MAST permit
•  Ability to stand for extended periods of time
•  Ability to stand, lift and reach with hands and arms
•  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
•  The ability to read, write and speak English fluently is required; competency in the Spanish language also useful
•  Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work is occasionally stressful situations
•  Minimum of 21+ years of age
