We are seeking an Offsite Event & Demo Coordinator who is responsible for planning and executing the company’s offsite events and demo sales opportunities in the marketplace. The ideal candidate has sales experience, is a hands-on leader, highly organized, and administratively proficient professional. Must be a highly-motivated with a strong sense of commitment and a positive attitude who thrives in the fast-paced environment of a medium-sized winery.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Increase sales, points of distribution and brand awareness in off premise and chain accounts.
  • Executes budget & controls costs by monitoring staffing levels & by working with the CFO to enforce financial controls.
  • Pursues authorizations, placements, floor stacks, cold box, displays, ads, etc.
  • Performs staff training, incentives, tastings, dinners etc. to support and leverage placements in off premise.
  • Performs demos in key accounts and coordinates with distributors on inventory, demo staffing, and demo staff charges.
  • Assists the NW BM in managing distributor relations, managing customer relations, and communication surrounding market visits in assigned areas.
  • Assists in the communication & support of departmental goals for local distributors while in Market
  • Prepares & plans the event including completion of required documents, staffing, transportation, ordering, pick up and return of wine & merchandise, decorations, and other items as needed.
  • Executes the event &/or trains team members who will execute the event in event guidelines, booth procedures, cash handling, inventory tracking, use of knuckle buster and other duties as needed.
  • Oversees & facilitates the timely and orderly return of festival supplies.
  • Orients, trains and coaches Demo Team Members.
  • Schedules demos as needed and maintains a master schedule; sends schedule every two weeks to relevant distributor contacts for the upcoming two weeks.
  • Completes monthly inventory reconciliation (using inventory requests, POS and Demo tasting forms) and presents to Sales Coordinator, OR National Brand Ambassador, and CFO.

Requirements

  • A passion for wine with demonstrated industry knowledge.
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Four years of related administrative experience
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Excellent computer, writing, and analytical skills
  • Comfortable speaking in front of large groups and making presentations.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
