Description
Stage Ranch Farm Management is looking for a full time, year round, team member who will be responsible for managing all the field operations of a diverse family farm. Position includes, but not limited to someone who can positively and ethically represent the farm in the community, executing the annual farm operating plan, assist the leadership team and viticulture personnel in the development of the annual farm operating plan and budget, hiring and managing team members, conducting operations consistently and safely, providing leadership and training to farm team members, and maintaining/developing relationships with new ranch owners.
Who we are:
We are a second-generation family farm located in Temecula, California that farms approximately 700 acres of land with a crop management of citrus, avocado and wine grapes. Many of the ranches that we farm belong to client growers.
Skills you need:
We are looking to hire our “right hand”. Someone who is excited about working with a team and who is passionate about growing crops safety and efficiently. We are looking for a team member who manages a team and operating various farming equipment, hauling wine grapes, performing light equipment maintenance, and maintaining general farm upkeep.
· Maintain and develop new land rent relationships and agreements
· Effectively develop positive relationships in the community
· Directs and implements planting and harvest operations
· Work directly and effectively with leadership team
· Verifies employee payroll
· Assist in the preparation of an annual farm budget
· Performs and coordinates all crop plans
Education and License:
· 10+ years experience farming
· 3+ years supervisory experience
· College degree
· CDL License with Class A endorsement
· Pesticide Applicators License
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
· CPR and First Aid a plus
Compensation depends on experience
