Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
-
Demonstrated leadership ability to mentor direct reports - 3 to 4 Sales Consultants.

Build and maintain team morale / engagement.
-
Leverage team effectively to manage current responsibilities and take on new challenges.

Strong knowledge of the competitive retail landscape, advertising and promotional trends and new competitive threats.
-
In-depth knowledge of classic, collectible wines and how it relates to overall sales mix to drive Private Client Services.

In-charge of weekly wine tasting events (planning, set-up, glassware and supervising the tasting personnel).
Buying / Vendor Management
-
Drive the internal processes and identify improvement opportunities in how we work with external market vendors.

Identify opportunities to drive sales through promotional activity related to in store displays, retail reductions or advertising to achieve results.

Promotional Material Management and Tracking (Coupons, Displays)
-
Develop and maintain vendor relationships.
-
Inquiry regarding suppliers product availability and costs
-
Monitor and manage in store stock rates and inventory levels of 100s of items on a monthly basis.

Manage Replenishment and ordering.
Accounting / Payroll
-
Ensure proper weekly scheduling.
-
Payroll Approval and Auditing
-
PO Payment Approval and Auditing.
-
Payment Processing and dispute resolution.
Qualifications:
-
5 to 10 Years of Management experience within the adult beverage industry.
-
BS in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
-
Willing, able to mentor managers and nurture an entrepreneurial environment.
-
Advanced wine and spirits knowledge - WSET Level 3 or Higher or equivalent certification.
-
A highly developed financial acumen, strong math skills and a clear commitment to financial accountability.

Strong Analytical skills with thorough understanding of business drivers.

Must be able to exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills.

Knowledge of Connecticut's State Liquor laws.

Understand State of Connecticut Wholesale Pricing Structure - Cost and Deal Analysis to drive sales, reduce cost of acquisitions and increase Gross Margins.

Strong understanding of the industry and key players within the distributor and supplier networks.

Strong negotiation, high level problem solving and motivational speaking skills.
-
Must be proficient in Microsoft, applications with particular strength in Outlook, Word and Excel.
