Lady Hill Winery is looking for multiple Harvest Interns to assist in the production of high quality wines for the 2017 Harvest. Previous purple hands or dirty boots are a plus, but certainly not essential if the right attitude and work ethic is present. This position requires a drive to work long, intense hours of physical and mental labor under typical Oregon Fall weather conditions or cellar temperatures with the ultimate mindset that it takes a team effort to produce incredible wines.
This position will begin September 11 and continue through November. The duties of this position may include but are not limited to adherence to a rigorous sanitation regiment, dj, fruit sampling, evaluation, and sorting, chef, fermentation record keeping, barista, juice/wine movements and additions, and comedian among others. Qualified candidates will possess a positive “team first” attitude with a reliability and dependability that is unquestioned. Written and oral communication skills are a must and require the necessary common sense and intuitive reasoning to take on tasks independently. Because of the physical nature of the job and the conditions under which it is performed, the ideal candidate will have the ability to lift/move/push at least 50 pounds and remain on their feet for hours at a time.
This is a paid internship that will provide a number of meals to get you through the day.
