Industry leading wine company looking to fill a season long vineyard position. Individual should have a love for working outdoors, a strong interest in viticulture and be passionate about growing high quality winegrapes.
Responsibilities:
Under direction of the Winegrower and the Grower Relations Representative, perform tasks including but not limited to:
• Gathering information for use in developing crop estimates.
• Tracking phenological development in estate and contract vineyards.
• Pest and disease monitoring in estate and contract vineyards.
• Irrigation monitoring in estate vineyards.
• Sugar sampling.
• Performing basic analysis in wine laboratory.
• Data entry.
• Miscellaneous tasks.
Requirements:
Highly organized and detail oriented, able to work autonomously with adequate instruction, effective communication skills, strong computer skills (including Microsoft Excel), able to lift 50 lbs, able to work outside on uneven terrain under various weather conditions, willing to work long hours and weekends during key periods throughout the year, willing to work with chemicals that require personal protective equipment, possessing a valid CA Driver License with clean driving record.
• Use of personal vehicle required (Company will reimburse at current Federal rate).
• iPhone required (Company will reimburse for usage).
Wage: DOE
Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt, AG (OT after 10 hours daily/60 hours weekly)
