Job Description:
Sparkling Pointe is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Direct to Consumer Sales team. This position provides a high level service experience in the Sparkling Pointe hospitality channel to Tasting House, Wine Club and E-commerce Customers. Specific focus will be as a Tasting House Host, Wine Club Coordinator, and Wine Guide.
The Guest Relations/Wine Club Coordinator will greet walk in guests, assist in seating them alongside the Hospitality Administrator, and assist Tasting House staff in signing up new wine club members. In addition, the position is responsible for providing a warm welcome to each visitor to Sparkling Pointe, and for ensuring that our guests understand our wine service, our floor plan and any other information which will enhance their visit. Assistance with table service and bar wine tastings as needed.
In the office environment, responsibilities will include correspondence via phone and email with wine club members, organizing and processing wine club shipments, maintaining the wine club database, and overseeing shipping and delivery of wine club and e-commerce packages.
The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a focus in hospitality and customer services.
Essential Responsibilities:
- At all times provide exceptional customer service through courteous and professional verbal and written communication, responding to customer inquiries via telephone or written correspondence in a timely manner, and up-selling wherever appropriate.
- Accurately process phone orders, charges, returns and special requests for Wine Club members. Coordinate, process, pack, and ship all wine club selections and online orders.
- Maintenance of Wine Club databases and reports
- Promote, sell, coordinate, and work all Wine Club special events and promotional wine offers, contributing to Wine Club written materials, including letters, newsletters, emails, etc.
- Pro actively identify and resolve customer issues with thorough research and follow-through
- Assist with any department-related tasks, projects and other duties as assigned
- Position requires minimum 40 hours work week - including 2 -3 days as Tasting House Host and Wine Guide and 2-3 days in Office for a total of 5 days a week. Weekends and Holidays Required.
Qualification Requirements:
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to anticipate customer needs and respond appropriately. Ability to perform multiple tasks while remaining focused and organized. Ability to be creative and handle a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines. Ability to maintain a graceful appearance and demeanor at all times and under all circumstances. Passion for hospitality and customer service. Ability and willing-ness to up-sell.
- Actively promote a positive atmosphere and culture of excellence through teamwork, job knowledge, work ethic and flexibility.
- Prior Wine Club experience and passion/knowledge of sparkling & still wine, wine production and the wine industry in general preferred.
- Ability to work overtime and alternate hours when needed, work a flexible schedule, including evening events and most holidays and weekends
- Physical requirements include ability to lift up to 50lbs (case of wine) and ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and lift for prolonged periods of time in a fast-paced, high-end hospitality environment.
Salary: commensurate with experience
