H&A Financing & Services is a dynamic international company specializing in the financial, inventory and resale management of barrels for the wine and spirits industry.  H&A currently manages over $200 million of assets globally, and manages Barrel Operations for wineries and distilleries in France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and the United States. 

H&A is comprised of a small, but outgoing and energetic group of individuals who are committed to the mutual growth and success of our company.  H&A is seeking a forward thinking and positive candidate to support our Head of Accounting.  Appropriate training will be provided to ensure that the Accounting Assistant will be successful in accomplishing all goals set forth. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties. 

- High volume accounts payable

- Accounts receivable and collections

-Heavy data entry.

-Maintain filing system; scan and assign invoices to the ERP system and shared drives.

-Manage incoming mail and distribute accordingly to appropriate department.


-Support accounting department with banking and credit card activities, to ensure complete and accurate allocation of expense reporting.

-Work closely with the Back-Office team to coordinate execution of contracts in a timely manner.

-Additional duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies of this position.

-Accountability; highly professional demeanor, positive attitude and great communication skills are required.
- Understanding of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) and accrual-based accounting. 
-Technical & computer skills; must have excellent technical database skills, financial metrics reporting, social media analytics. Proficiency with MS Office products including; Microsoft Window, Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft 365, and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
- Proficient in ERP Systems

-Interpersonal Skills; ethical, honest, problem solving, organized and great at time management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed.  Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.


Education/Experience:
Business college-level coursework and/or equivalent experience. Minimum 2-4 years of increasingly responsible administrative and accounting experience.

Physical:
Able to sit at a computer for a minimum of two-hour increments, type on a keyboard. Able to lift and carry 41 lbs. Valid driver’s license and ability to drive between locations and run errands, as needed. Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Other Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age (may be required to pour wine at personal gatherings or business events).
Possess a valid California driver’s license; good driving record; insurable under the company’s liability insurance policy.


The position is full-time and is based in Sonoma, CA.
