Wine Lounge Manager (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Deer Creek Vineyards in Selma, Oregon, is in search of an exceptional individual with experience in the wine industry, management, stellar work ethic & passion for wine, to help make our wine lounge an exceptional & memorable space for all who come to experience our award-winning wines in the vineyard! This is a full-time position that will begin immediately.  

Bar Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains inventory

  • Manage Wine Lounge staff and scheduling for all shifts

  • Ensures bar & wine lounge is well-stocked and clean

  • Engages & builds relationships with our customers

  • Maintains budget and monitors costs

  • Maintains sales documentation

  • Coordinates with directors to plan & staff for special events

  • Appropriately delegates tasks to staff

  • Purchase needed supplies

  • Trains staff when necessary

  • Provides marketing, including social media and other forms of publicity content

  • Manage and coordinate wine club and online order shipments

  • Maintains vendor relationships

  • Implement point-of-sale tracking technology and bar and restaurant management platforms

Work Hours & Benefits:

Thursday - Sunday 11am - 9pm.  

Hourly wage of $17.50 per hour plus tips & bonuses.

Wine Lounge Manager Qualifications/Skills:

  • Wine knowledge

  • Excellent multitasking ability

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Interpersonal relationship skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Strong leadership ability

  • Organizational skills

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Knowledge of food, beverage, and hospitality industries

  • Calm under pressure

  • Ability to deescalate tense interactions.

  • POS & technology platform knowledge

  • Enthusiasm for the DCV mission, vision & values

  • Wine sales & business building experience

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Valid OLCC & Food Handlers Cards

  • First Aid & CPR certificates a plus

  • Prior experience working in a high end restaurant, bar or wine lounge

  • Supervisory experience

  • Wine sales experience

  • Familiarity with point-of-sale tracking technology
