The Associate Brand Manager is an integral part of Precept Wine’s marketing team, providing support across the organization while managing market driven strategic initiatives to deliver on Precept’s growth and profit objectives.

The Associate Brand Manager will develop a strong understanding of Precept Wine’s marketing and sales environment, supporting brand managers with day-to-day activities while providing key deliverables to sales. They will also be involved with the creation and implementation of brand positioning, strategic planning and promotional programs, as well as subsequent measurement and evaluation of brand performance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with brand managers/brand director on development of annual brand plans, including brand positioning, strategic initiatives and tactical marketing plans.
  • Creating and facilitating the development of point of sale and marketing materials in support of brands and related wines under guidance of brand managers/brand director. Update, edit and revise supplier brochures, sell sheets, shelf talkers and other point of sale material.
  • Partnering with multiple cross-functional teams (sales, production, winemaking, etc.) to ensure successful product development and inventory management. Collaborating on new product innovations and packaging updates. Participation in regular wine tastings for new vintage expertise and competitive insights.
  • Assisting brand managers in pulling, tracking and analyzing brand shipments and depletions data to understand retailer, distributor and channel trends. Conducting Nielsen analysis for deeper understanding of brand performance and industry trends.
  • Providing sales with key brand deliverables, including customized brand presentations, point of sale materials and samples. Assisting with sales team support, including distributor presentations and retail surveys.
  • Team lead for POS asset management and inventory system, including coordination of quarterly order window and internal management among marketing and sales. Working with multiple vendors to procure estimates and oversee the production of materials (or managing in-house POS production as required). Maintain shared drive archives, Precept website and app with current marketing assets.
  • Team lead for coupon order process, including set up, printing, tracking and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years marketing experience with demonstrated passion for marketing and enthusiasm for wine and the wine/food experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • Experience in digital brand promotion and social media desirable (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, & PowerPoint. Experience in Adobe graphics programs desired, but not required.
