Assistant Brand Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

The Assistant Brand Manager is an integral part of Precept Wine’s marketing team providing support across the organization and specifically to the brand managers and national sales team. 

The Assistant Brand Manager will develop a strong understanding of the marketing and sales environment at the company, along with a strategic knowledge of the business, the growth opportunities for the brands and the best ways to achieve them. 

The Assistant Brand Manager will focus on supporting brand managers with day-to-day activities as well as assisting sales with their presentation and business needs, such as presentations, point of sale materials and samples. They will also be involved with measurement and evaluation of brand performance and health along with the development and execution of brand marketing & promotional programs that support long-term brand strategies.

Some of the core job responsibilities include: 

Brand Management Support:

•  In conjunction with direction from brand managers, create and facilitate development of point of sale and marketing materials in support of the brands and related wines, and manage ongoing inventory
•  Update, edit and revise supplier brochures, sell sheets, shelf talkers, tasting notes and other point of sale material. Manage in-house POS production and serve as main point of contact for all POS, as required
•  Maintain share drive and Precept website with up to date sales and marketing tools as requested by brand managers
•  Collaborate with brand manager/director on developing the annual brand plans and the development of brand strategies and marketing plans
•  Conduct Nielsen analysis for understanding of brand performance and industry trends; communicate to brand managers
•  Assist brand managers in pulling, tracking and analyzing brand shipments and depletions data to understand retailer, distributor and channel trends. Update sales reporting packages under guidance from brand managers
•  Collaborate with brand managers, production, operations and various departments to ensure successful completion of all projects
•  Manage several of the junior brands by monitoring marketing material/point of sale needs, creating brand decks and sell sheets, forecasting production trends, and assisting sales on tactics to grow the brand(s). 

Sales Team Support:

•  Communicate with brand managers, graphics team and sales managers to successfully inventory, order and distribute allocated point of sale items to national distributors each sales period
•  Create and edit chain and distributor presentations for use in sales meetings and pitches
•  Provide support for national sales representatives by fulfilling requests for wine samples, point of sale items and presentations
•  Manage coupon process including set up, ordering, tracking and reporting

Qualifications: 

•  1 -2 years marketing experience, or recent graduate with relevant internships and coursework. Demonstrated passion for marketing and enthusiasm for wine and the wine/food experience.
•  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
•  Experience in brand promotion on Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest) desirable
•  Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, & PowerPoint. Experience in Adobe graphics programs desired, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

•  Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
•  Acceptable/insurable driving record
•  Available to work weekdays, weekends, evenings as required by events
