Viluko Vineyard is seeking a self-directed, entrepreneurial sales manager to maintain and build sales of our award-winning wines. The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about wines with a special focus on organic and sustainable vineyards. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious sales person to use his/her knowledge and experience of the wine industry to help our up-and-coming wine blossom into new markets. 

Viluko Vineyards is small family vineyard nestled between Calistoga and Santa Rosa in the rocky hillsides of the Mayacamas Mountains. With more than 450 acres and a diversity of environments and microclimates, our vineyard is able to produce a variety of estate grown grapes unique to few properties. Our focus is Bordeaux varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc. Our wines continue to receive consistent recognition from Wine Enthusiast, the San Francisco Chronicle, Connoisseurs’ Guide and Garagiste; and have received 90+ ratings from Robert Parker.  

Areas of Responsibility/Job Duties:

  • Manage the FOB, wholesale market and DTC channel with a near term goal of 2,000 cases sold annually across the US 
  • Promote and drive wholesale orders, retail sales and restaurant placement
  • Utilize existing network and develop additional contacts with distributors or brokers to grow company’s business throughout California and nationally 
  • Build interest and new membership for Viluko Wine Club(s)
  • Work special events, special wine tastings, and luncheons/dinners, when necessary
  • Stay current on recent wine reviews, industry issues and trends
  • Maintain and expand sales at existing accounts
  • Perform monthly sales reporting to identify key successes/challenges/corrections
  • Track sales in an organized manner, allocate wines to accounts and markets
  • Manage submission for wine reviews and scores
  • Develop knowledge for Viluko’s wine and winemaking process with an emphasis on what makes Viluko unique- including viticulture, wine-making, barrel fermentation, barrel aging, bottling, bottle aging
  • Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders, including ownership, family members, and winemaking.
  • Participate in and understand monthly and quarterly inventory reviews

*Salary commensurate with experience
