Bien Nacido Vineyards is a leading producer of terroir-driven, hand-crafted Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah. We are seeking full time seasonal cellar, and lab interns with lots of energy and a positive attitude to join our team for the 2020 harvest. This position will start in August and end November, but will ultimately be determined by the weather. The interns will work closely with the winemaking team, and be responsible for carrying out a wide variety of tasks in all facets of harvest work.

This is an opportunity to learn how to operate in a detail oriented, terroir-focused winemaking environment. You will get the opportunity to work with fruit from Bien Nacido Vineyards and Solomon Hills from the Santa Maria Valley. Jobs will include vineyard sampling and analysis, crop adjustment, cleaning, grape sorting, crushing, monitoring ferments, cleaning, punch downs, pump-overs, draining, cleaning, pressing, topping, racking, laboratory analysis, cleaning, etc.

Preferred candidates should possess; previous winery experience, forklift experience, experience in wet chemistry, and strong organizational skills. Candidates should be able to lift/pull/push 50lbs, be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time, have a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and have a flexible work schedule.

The winery is located in northern Santa Barbara County, approximately 15 minutes from Santa Maria.
