Job Function:
The Brand Portfolio & Pricing Manager (BPM) is responsible for helping to drive the overall achievement of the national sales goals. The BPM will ensure that core distributor partners understand J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines strategies and organizational key initiatives and will drive and facilitate communication and alignment of story and image of J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines, while coordinating pricing and programming tools needed to deliver appropriate messaging and increase wine sales. The Brand Portfolio Manager communicates across multiple external and internal departments, ensuring alignment of J. Lohr brand priorities and standards across key organizations in order to meet overall sales objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•  Works with the VP of US Sales, Regional Managers, Area Managers and Marketing team to develop and drive the national sales plan including programs and pricing that will motivate key customers, distributors and sales representatives to highlight J. Lohr products.
•  Performs key activities around programming and pricing development that facilitate overall sales objective attainment through and with the J. Lohr sales team. 
•  Educates distributor portfolio management and teams on products and merchandising. 
•  Works with the VP of US Sales to ensure that the national brand programming and pricing strategies are implemented according to brand standards and within budget parameters. 
•  Utilizes key informational tools, such as TradePulse, ad hoc reporting, Nielsen data and national distributor information to gain insight and understanding of overall business. 
•  Completes core distributor reviews monthly and provides key insights to the Executive Team. 
•  Develops and maintains positive relationships with distributor national portfolio brand management. 
•  Effectively manages the distributor brand management partners, maximizing overall portfolio participation with the distributor network on a national basis. This will be done by planning, organizing key activities, regularly measuring market results and assisting the VP of US Sales in implementing corrective action. 
•  Leads, develops and motivates business analyst to achieve a high level of engagement, productivity, efficiency and professionalism. Provides motivational, constructive performance feedback and coaching. 

Qualifications:
•  Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, sales and marketing, or related field). 
•  At least 5 to 8+ years of experience in regional sales and distributor sales management.
•  Experience with, and knowledge of, pricing and brand standards.
•  Demonstrated ability to successfully achieve sales. 
•  Strong mathematical and analytical skills, and attention to detail are needed in order to understand revenues and expenses, budget and sales plan variances, and to suggest corrective action.
•  Exemplary communication, influence and negotiation skills are required in order to work effectively with a variety of people, and foster teamwork.
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, allowing the candidate to build presentations, sell sheets, and deliver and respond to detailed correspondence.
•  Seasoned organization, reasoning, judgment and problem-solving skills are necessary in order to coordinate multiple projects, resolve problems, and represent J. Lohr.
•  Participation in sales success training programs is highly desirable.
•  Knowledge and enjoyment of wine and wine culture, varietals, appellations, food pairings, etc.
•  Driver’s license with a driving record that is acceptable to the winery’s insurance carrier.
•  Willingness to travel with overnight stays as needed.
•  Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds.
