Vintage Wines was established in 1987 with a dedication to providing our customers with a large selection of high-quality wines and spirits at very competitive prices. We have a strong retail presence both in-store and online and offer a well-established tasting room experience. We seek a motivated and customer focused individual to join our team as a Sales Associate with growth potential as an assistant manager
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide guidance and recommendations based on customer preferences, budget, and occasion
- Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing store display
- Receive, unpack, and stock inventory accurately
- Operate the point-of-sale system efficiently and accurately
- Processing, packing and shipping out-of-town orders
- Working with Tasting Manager to further advance our tasting room experience
- Stay up to date with industry trends, new releases, and emerging products
- Advance our experience-based focus
- Collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets and store objectives
Requirements:
- Retail wine sales
- Possess a good understanding of wine and spirits, including varietals, regions, and food pairing suggestions.
- Exhibit a passion for sales and ability to engage and persuade customers.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers.
- Ability to maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandising while accurately managing inventory.
- Be enthusiastic, energetic, and approachable; create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment, including working weekends.
- Physical ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
