Evening Land Vineyards is located in West Salem, crafting small-production Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gamay Noir and Chenin Blanc from the famed Seven Springs Vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills. Through conscientious farming, and meticulous attention to detail in the cellar, Evening Land Vineyards strives to make low intervention, energetic wines of uncompromising quality.

Owners and winemakers, Sashi Moorman and Rajat Parr, have mastered their craft over the course of decades and make it a priority to educate and guide the staff in winemaking and the philosophy behind Evening Land’s approach to producing balanced and elegant wines. The staff frequently enjoys harvest lunches together, and there is the profound opportunity to share ideas and learn new techniques. Hours are long, and the work is always rewarding.

The successful candidate will:

- Have a minimum of two harvests experience
- Have solid forklift skills
- Be a team player with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently
- Be a clear communicator
- Have the ability to lift 50 lbs., work standing for several hours at a time, and work in a cold and sometimes wet environment
- Know how to make hard work feel fun
- Live locally, ideally close to Salem
- Have reliable transportation
- Have the legal qualifications to work in the United States

The responsibilities of this position are listed below but are not limited to:

•  Forklift operation: Stacking and dumping bins, barrels, equipment
•  Wine Movements: Racking, Transfers, Barreling, etc.
•  Cleaning and Sanitation: Tanks, Press, Bins, Barrels, Processing Equipment, Floors etc.
•  Careful Cellar Additions in coordination with winemaker
•  Clear and Meticulous Record keeping
•  Fermentation Management and Readings
•  Basic Laboratory practices: pH, Free SO2, Glucose/Fructose, etc
•  Harvest preparation: Cleaning and Organizing
•  Equipment maintenance
•  Attention to detail and proactive communication with Winemakers

This is a harvest position, beginning on the 1st of August and continuing through mid to late November, with potential for a full time permanent position after harvest.

Evening Land is a busy, fast-paced, demanding, and rewarding environment. During the peak of harvest, this will often be a 7 day per week position. We prioritize hard work and professional fulfillment. The successful candidate will be expected to roll up their sleeves and work diligently alongside a small and dedicated team of top-notch winemakers.
