Marketing Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Duties: 

The following duties are typical for this position. Employees may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the development and execution of overall strategic marketing plans (wholesale and retail), including print media, online and promotional opportunities
  • Collaborates with Wholesale and Retail Sales teams to develop point of sales collateral and integrated marketing communication campaigns to support sales initiatives.
  • Assists in developing marketing budgets and the day-to-day allocation of resources in the most cost-effective manner
  • Creates and manages a master calendar of marketing campaigns, events and initiatives
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the marketing team, and serves as the graphic and copy editor for marketing collateral this team produces

Other job responsibilities will include:

  • Develop online marketing efforts, websites and new media marketing, including email campaigns and social media
  • Management of donation requests and support for selection of which ones to strategically fulfill
  • Initial point of contact for advertising and media requests and support for fulfillment of appropriate requests
  • Design and develop creative content to support the marketing team as needed
  • Collaborate with Vice President of Marketing and Senior Management on the research and creation of new products
  • Analyze market and competitive data to identify opportunities and measure effectiveness
  • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Marketing 
Requirements

Qualifications and Experience 

The following generally describes the knowledge and ability required to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period of time in order to successfully perform the assigned duties.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of marketing and/or public relations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Project Management experience or certification preferred
  • A strong eye for design and understanding of design principles
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Strong digital, public relations and strategic communication knowledge
  • An interest in alcoholic beverages, their production, and their sales
  • Must be flexible in work style and schedule.  Travel up to 20% of time
  • Evening work and some occasional weekend work will be required
  • All candidates must be at least 21 years of age
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and manage strong vendor relationships
