We are a family owned Napa Valley Winery Located in Rutherford. We make high end estate Cabernet Sauvignon and estate Cabernet Franc and a diverse lineup of varietals such as Petite Verdot, Malbec, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir. We also custom crush a host of other varietals and styles such as Rose’, a field blend and late harvest wines. The winery reflects Rutherford’s history while using modern technology. We typically harvest approximately 100 tons during September and October.
We are seeking a motivated Cellar Intern to join our team for Harvest 2022 and close at hand with our winemaker Scott Rittenhouse.
Harvest Intern / Cellar Hand (1 position): August through mid-November
The harvest Intern will assist in a variety of cellar activities, including:
- Receiving and processing fruit, crushing, sorting, pressing, etc.
- Winery Sanitation
- Operation and cleaning of crush equipment
- Additions to juice, must, & wine
- Punch-downs & pump-overs
- Racking and wine transfer
- Barrel filling, topping, stirring, and racking
- Monitoring fermentation
- Drain down and dig outs from tanks & presses
- Bottling Line
Qualifications
- Must be currently able to work in the US (Must be able to work in the US, No Further J1 applications)
- English Speaking and Literacy Required
- Forklift experience recommended
- Previous harvest experience recommended but not needed
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs
- Valid Driver's License
