Summary/Objective 

The Tasting Room Operations Manager, is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of our tasting room and daytime weekend events.  This individual will lead the team in daily operational functions, while focusing on the financial, promotional and club acquisition targets.  We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal skills and wine knowledge who will promote an exceptional guest experience.  Ability to work weekends and some evenings a must.  Full Time / Part Time depending on candidate.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

·         Assisting customers in the tasting room.

·         Updating POS data and instructing employees on changes.

·         Scheduling tasting room staff.

·         Scheduling weekend music.

·         Oversees and manages weekend special events.

·         Ensure exceptional customer service at all times.

·         Develop training programs and additional learning opportunities for staff and new hires.

·         Manage wine and merchandise inventory and tasting room print materials.

·         Achieve tasting room goals:

o   Daily Sale Goals

o   Increase Wine Club Membership

·         Conduct employee sales/customer service training, one-on-one coaching, and ongoing wine education.

·         Ensure that all tasting room associates follow proper operating procedures.

·         Oversee facility cleanliness, repairs, maintenance and housekeeping.

·         Ensure proper setup/breakdown for weekend  events.

·         Ensure appropriate supply levels are maintained on hand including glasses, wine, bags, etc.

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills and Experience

·         Excellent Management skills.

·         Posses a strong work ethic.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication.

·         Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.

·         Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft products.

·         Superior guest interfacing skills as it relates to daily operations.

·         Passion for and sound knowledge of wine industry is preferred.

·         A background in hospitality management or events is a plus.

 

Physical Requirements: 

·         Must be 21 years of age or older.

·         Comfortable standing for long periods of time.

·         Able to lift 45 lbs.

·         Valid Driver’s License.
