Job Description:
Cakebread Cellars, the family owned and operated Rutherford-based Napa Valley premium winery seeks to add a talented Bottling Supervisor who will play a key role in the packaging and production of our high quality winemaking programs.

The Bottling Supervisor organizes and executes bottling operations that result in the production of quality wines. Responsibilities include carrying out scheduled winery bottling operation, overseeing and conducting on-going assessments of quality control and operational procedures, coordinating and overseeing line staff, working with mobile line vendors as needed, maintaining documentation, conducting pre-bottling package testing and post bottling inventory audits, overseeing and mechanically maintaining line equipment, maintaining proper line operations and sanitation, barrel work, operating pumps, making additions, cleaning and sanitizing cellars, training others, and harvest leadership. 

•  High school diploma or equivalent required
•  Bachelor’s degree in viticulture, enology, agriculture, food science, or other relevant field required
•  Two years of winery mechanic operations and bottling/cellar work experience required
•  Mechanical aptitude requiring knowledge and experience in maintenance and operation with high speed production packaging equipment
•  Ability to operate and perform minor/routine maintenance on all bottling equipment Two years of progressive supervisory experience leading multiple teams required
•  Experience in a liquid fill bottling operation 
•  Three years of cellar experience and thorough knowledge in wine industry required
•  Ability to work well with a diverse population and all levels of management
•  Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
•  Experience leading or directing others in production or operations environment
•  Working knowledge of bar code systems
•  Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
•  Commitment to excellence and high standards
•  Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
•  Strong attention to detail
•  Ability to drive a forklift and become forklift certified
•  Clean driving record and valid driver’s license 
•  Ability to solve problems and set priorities
•  Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and take direction
•  Good written and verbal communication skills
•  Ability to understand and perform basic math and basic measurements
•  Ability to work in small confined spaces and high places
•  Ability to work extended shifts
•  Knowledge and experience with MS Office computer software, specifically Word and Excel
•  Experience working in Winemaker Database
