  • Do you brew? It’s a requirement, so knowing your way around a homebrew setup will give you a leg up when it comes to our greatest goal: helping homebrewers brew better beer.
  • Are you a fixer? If a mindless, time-to-make-the-donuts job is your idea of torture, you’ll fit right in. At Northern Brewer, trouble-shooting and problem-solving is in our DNA. It’s all about making our customer’s day. And that shows in everything you do.
  • Are you a little Type A? We’re not talking Dr. Sheldon Cooper levels, but organization and a knack for working efficiently goes a long way toward keeping our fulfillment center running smoothly.
  • Can you go the extra mile? Position hours vary. But during busy periods, occasional extra hours may be required.

As the CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE, you live to help customers find solutions to brewing questions. The Customer Service Associate will quickly and thoroughly solve problems for customers if deliveries, transactions or experiences do not go 100% as planned.  Customer Service Associates will also answer brewing questions related to our products. Communication will be through phone, email and LiveChat. Every day, we strive to keep our customers happy and homebrewing. That entails:

  • Serving as the front line, on-call resource for all customers via phone, email and LiveChat
  • Being an expert on our catalog and technology to troubleshoot and help customers find what products they need to fill their particular needs
  • Providing brewing advice, suggestions and overall knowledge to customers
  • Maintaining customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
  • Assisting in fulfillment areas as needed
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

MUST-HAVES

We have a few deal-breakers. Only apply if:

  • You have related experience with beer brewing and/or wine making; Beer judge certification, cicerone certification, or Sommelier certification is a major plus!
  • Working knowledge computer and phone systems in order to use this to help our homebrewers keep on brewing
  • You are not afraid of customer service hours. Customers don’t always shop or have questions when it’s convenient for us. Sometimes that means some extra hours in order to make the magic happen.
