Natural Winery Harvest Cellar Lead (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

As our harvest cellar lead, you will be assisting our two winemakers with harvest for a roughly 10,000 case / year
winery in Richmond, California. We practice zero-zero winemaking - nothing added, nothing subtracted - organic fruit
only. This requires a lot of attention to detail and efficiency in the cellar, but we believe it pays off in the quality and
personality of our wines.

Our ideal candidate has worked multiple harvests before and feels comfortable in a wine cellar. This position will
start in the beginning of August to gain comfortability with the facility and help us prepare it for harvest. It will likely
go through October. You can expect to work 8-10 hours per day, 5-6 days per week.

In addition to supporting our winemakers, you will be working closely with our seasonal harvest team. This will
include both supervision and collaboration.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
•  Facility & equipment cleaning/sanitation
•  Facility opening and/or closing
•  Fermentation management - pumpovers, punchdowns, etc.
•  Brix & temperate checks
•  Digging out & pressing tanks
•  Leading seasonal interns through various tasks
•  Operation of cellar equipment and supervision of others

Qualifications:
•  Minimum of 2-3 previous harvest experiences
•  Forklift experience required
•  Familiarity with cellar equipment
•  Comfortable carrying out some cellar duties alone and/or with the support of others
•  Ability to lift 50 lbs

This is a non-exempt, full-time, seasonal position with a compensation rate DOE. You can expect to work at least 40
hours/week and may be expected to work additional hours during heavier times.
