All of our wines are produced and bottled on-site at our state-of-the-art facility, with a commitment to crafting the highest quality wines possible. By partnering with vineyards across the country, our Richfield, Ohio winery showcases the finest grapes from each region.

Although 80% of our fruit is sourced from the West Coast, we maintain a 4-acre vineyard on-site which grows Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes that support our award-winning sparkling wine program.

Position Overview:

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Richfield, OH. The Head Winemaker, under the general direction of the Winery Owners, will oversee all aspects of the winemaking process, including vineyard management, grape sourcing, fermentation, blending, harvesting, aging, and bottling.

Essential Duties (but not limited to):
•  Vineyard Management: Monitoring grape ripeness and health and deciding when to harvest based on sugar and acidity levels.
•  Production & Cellar Work: Managing the crushing, pressing, fermentation, and aging processes (e.g., in barrels or stainless-steel tanks), ordering production materials and maintaining production schedules
•  Science & Quality Control: Analyzing chemical components (pH, acidity, sulfur levels) to prevent spoilage and ensure consistency.
•  Blending & Artistry: Tasting regularly to make decisions on, for example, oak influence, maturation, and final blending.
•  Logistics & Maintenance: Coordinating harvest logistics, ensuring sanitary conditions, and maintaining equipment
•  Administrative: Help maintain records as required for the purpose of meeting government (i.e., TTB) and corporate requirements. Manage accurate inventory, forecasting and partnering on brand development to support the winery’s vision and growth

Qualifications:
•  Bachelor’s degree in Enology, Viticulture, Food Science, or related field preferred
•  Prior experience as a winemaker or in a similar role is highly desirable
•  Comprehensive knowledge of winemaking processes, including fermentation, blending, and aging
•  Experience in vineyard management, quality control, compliance, and wine production logistics
•  Strong leadership and ability to act as a mentor to production staff to foster teamwork and building up future talent
•  Build rapport with Winery Management (i.e., General Manager, Executive Chef, etc) through trust and regular communication
•  Skill in inventory management, production scheduling, and operational efficiency
•  Balancing the artistic vision of the wine with meticulous, science-driven technical accuracy to ensure product quality and consistency
•  Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
•  Passion for wine and understanding of trends within the wine industry
