After 16 years of turning wine lovers into winemakers in Argentina, The Vines of Mendoza has launched The Vines (the-vines.com). Our members travel to the world’s most storied winemaking regions, learning the craft from master practitioners and creating their own unique vintages. The idea is to get to know the world by making wine – to have outposts at select vineyards where we could make our own micro labels by building relationships with the most inventive, celebrated growers and winemakers.

This exciting venture enables its members to travel the world, enjoy curated local experiences in top wine regions, and make their own custom wines and participate in local “money can’t buy” experiences. Members might produce a Brunello di Montalcino in the heart of Tuscany one year, a Pinot Noir in Oregon or a Grenache in Spain and along the way sampling world famous wines paired with Franklin Barbecue or participate in a cooking class with famed chef, Francis Mallmann.

The Vines seeks a dynamic sales-oriented professional who can accelerate growth of membership sales. An ideal candidate has experience selling and working with an affluent clientele. A candidate with an existing network of wine lovers that may be interested in making wines around the world with extraordinary winemakers would be very attractive to the company. This position has uncapped earning potential, will bring you to world’s top wine regions, and you will be part of a team that is building and curating extraordinary experiences for wine lovers around the globe.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this dynamic and rewarding position, you will:

  • sell Vines memberships and related products
  • assist with lead generation, networking and establish relationships with potential partners
  • find innovative ways to maintain and expand the business’ database of prospects, including sourcing new sales opportunities, developing leads and ensuring effective follow up
  • work with our network of sales ambassadors and affiliates to generate leads and sales.
  • travel 10-20% of the time, both domestically and internationally
  • manage all activities, account details, pipeline, and forecast through our salesforce.com CRM, on a timely and accurate basis

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

Our ideal candidate will:

  • have 3-7 years of sales experience, ideally B to C, with demonstrable success and a verifiable history of exceeding sales goals
  • have a strong network of high net-worth, wine enthusiasts in the U.S. and/or Europe.
  • has experience entertaining clients and hosting private events
  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • be self-motivated, organized and disciplined with a strong work ethic
  • be able to thrive in the pressure of a results-oriented environment, where performance is measured consistently and directly tied to compensation
  • be available to work nights and weekends while networking and selling

Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
