After 16 years of turning wine lovers into winemakers in Argentina, The Vines of Mendoza has launched The Vines (the-vines.com). Our members travel to the world’s most storied winemaking regions, learning the craft from master practitioners and creating their own unique vintages. The idea was to get to know the world by making wine – to have outposts at select vineyards where we could make our own micro labels by building relationships with the most inventive, celebrated growers and winemakers.
The Vines is looking for an Membership Operations & Communications Associate to coordinate our remote team, manage operations and logistics for member and sales events in the US and Europe, serve as contact for member inquiries, manage CRM, track financial transactions, send member communications and coordinate label printing and wine shipping. You’ll be part of a team building and curating extraordinary experiences for wine lovers around the globe.
About you
We love candidates that have experience in consulting firms, startups, political campaigns, that love unforgettable travel experiences, are not afraid to jump in and get their hands dirty, and of course that enjoy great wine!
As the office is virtual, the Operations & Communications Associate should be a flexible self-starter and enjoy working both independently and with the team. The company is focused on growth and the environment will be fast-paced and intense. Excellent communication skills and creativity are required, along with at least 5 years work experience in operations and administration, and a bachelor's degree or graduate degree in business or related field. Project management and ability to communicate in multiple languages are a strong plus.
You’ll be working remotely and independently, and with people who work the same way. Email, Slack, Zoom, powerpoint presentations and phone calls are our lifeblood. You’ll take advantage of time in person with the team at retreats to build relationships, and you’ll use those relationships to manage how the distributed team does great work. You’ll have contact with our high net worth members, and you’ll build relationships there as well. You’ll be good at learning and using experience to do even better and improve our product and business.
