Tooth and Nail Wine Co. located in Paso Robles, CA, a fast-growing, family-owned, high-opportunity wine company driven to defy the status quo, is seeking a Mid-West Regional Manager to directly manage the following states and territory: IA, IL, IN, KY, KS, MI, MN, MO, NE, OH, and WI.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
*Develop and grow the sales of Tooth and Nail wines by working with our mid-west distributors to achieve volume and revenue goals.
* Brands include the Squad Series, Audubon Series, Destinata, and Amor Fati.
* Each tier of market will receive a different level of attention based on index and opportunity.
*Collaborate with senior leadership to set KPI's for performance by sales channel and provide leadership team with monthly performance results against the goals.
*Call on independent retail, on-premise, and regional chain accounts directly and in cooperation with distributor sales force to ensure displays, promotional activities, and merchandise are in place.
*Interface with distributor directors, regional managers, and sales representatives to educate them on Tooth and Nail Wine portfolio.
*Develop, implement, and manage regional sales plan and conduct meetings with regional teams within the wholesalers.
*Acquire and analyze sales data by account/market to make fact-based decisions, seek out opportunities, apply resources appropriately and facilitate growth opportunities.
*Collaborate with senior leadership to set annual sales goals for each state market and work tirelessly to achieve the objectives.
*Monitor distributor inventory levels to maintain PAR levels and adjust for new business.
*Participate in trade and consumer tasting events supporting ON and OFF Premise.
*Communicate with senior leadership information necessary to improve sales (e.g., sales reports, account updates, work-with schedules, and depletions).
*Evaluate strategies, action plans, budgets, and spending to achieve goals.
*Maintain and develop strong working relationships with distributor chain sales management and distributor key account personnel.
Job Qualifications and Attributes:
*Minimum of 6+ years of distributor management and sales/marketing experience within the wine industry.
*Ability to travel 2-3 weeks per month, using Friday as administrative day weekly.
Management experience required:
*BS/BA degree or equivalent industry experience required.
*MS Office skills are required as is experience utilizing reporting tools such as Nielsen/IRI/VIP/Microstrategy or similar.
*Strong Financial Acumen: Must be able to calculate gross profit, retail margin, retail pricing, internal pricing models, trade spend, etc.
*Effective communications/presentations, follow-up, administrative and organizational skills.
*Ability to work and drive positive results in a fast-paced, team environment.
*Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.
*Excellent management skills - Ability to interface with a wide range of individuals.
*Superior execution abilities - Deliver what needs to be done to meet objectives, to prioritize and to plan work actions, and establish and meet goals and objectives.
*Innovative - Displays original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness and positivity.
*Strategic thinker-Must be able to create and execute strategy for accounts yet revise plans in mid-course, if necessary.
*High level of expertise in analyzing data and making informative recommendations.
This is a remote, home office-based role with the ideal candidate located near a major commercial airport in Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; Minneapolis, Minnesota; or Cleveland, Ohio metro areas.
