Wine Expert (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

  • Manage the storage of wine bottles
  • Advise clients in their wine selection
  • Know thoroughly the wine list and the food & wine pairings
  • Serve the wine to the guests when necessary
  • Follow very specific rules of service: opening, decanting, wine presentation, comments, tasting and serving
  • Manage the wine cellar, ensuring inventory and good conservation of the bottles
  • Train staff on our various wines and spirits to ensure that service standards are met
  • Keep wine inventory updated
  • Actively participate in the development of food and wine

Requirements

  • Geographically mobile and available for a minimum of 6 months
  • Be knowledgeable of all wines on the wine list
  • relevant experience in catering or bar
  • Experience required function
  • Basic knowledge of wine and spirits
