Reset Merchandiser (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for part-time Merchandiser/Reset individuals to join our team and assist with analyzing sales and space of Hensley products in all assigned licensed retail establishments. You will assist with maintaining and improving our shelf space at various grocery and convenience stores throughout Tucson.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work with Space Management Department to call on accounts; greet customers, discuss shelves and displays; prefill and build displays for weekly ad set-up. 
  • Rotate all product being stocked whether in cold box, warm shelf, or in display area.  Follow the published Product Freshness Procedure and inform sales team members of code problems in the trade.
  • Be thoroughly trained on all aspects of performing resets from drawing up of schematics, presenting schematics, and the actual resetting of chain stores and independent accounts.
  • Check and monitor Hensley Beverage and competitive shelf and display pricing.
  • Maintain cordial relations with Chain Store Managers and their staff, and to report, in writing, any changes in management personnel.  Remember, "Making Friends is Our Business."
  • Maintain daily reports, both physical and virtual, and turn it in to supervisor at the end of the day.
  • Follow safety protocol and training while maintaining safety measures at all times.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

HOURS:

Hours will fluctuate based on types of projects and customer needs. Typically resets will be about 30 hours per week. When speaking with a recruiter, let them know your availability. When working on reset projects starting times for resets are typically around 5am to 1pm (Monday-Friday). It is important that our reset teams are willing to be flexible with their schedules and stay until the job is complete.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
  • Be at least 19 years of age or older.
  • Good communication skills and cheerful disposition.
  • Excellent customer service
  • Must be able to work well with others.
  • Ability to read code dates proficiently
  • Resets include working in cold coolers and dry shelves.
  • Work with vendors from other companies to complete resets.
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Must have a cell phone with data capability for texting and emails.
  • Previous beverage industry experience helpful, but not necessary.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspond with pertinent co-workers. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL/ANALYTICAL SKILLS

Ability to count missing cases/product on shelves and accurately keep track.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several unanticipated but common variables in everyday situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must maintain a current drivers license.
