Tasting Room Manager & Wine Club Assistant (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

This is a dynamic position and will involve working within many aspects of the wine industry (tasting room & hospitality, administrative, and wine club). The ideal candidate must possess outstanding customer service skills and truly enjoy working with people, have the ability to multi task and work under pressure in a busy environment, and possess a strong desire to work within the wine industry. 

Duties/Expectations Include:
•  Prepare the tasting room for opening & closing
•  Present, pour and educate the customer on selected wines for tasting and lead tours
•  Share knowledge of our winery, wines and family story with customers & members
•  Assist with reconciling and tracking inventory at both winery and warehouse locations
•  Maintain cleanliness of the facilities and make sure tasting room is always stocked with any supplies needed
•  Ability to operate POS & WineDirect interface accurately and efficiently and handle accounting of daily/weekly sales metrics
•  Track tasting room metrics and develop programs to improve traffic and sales
•  Assist with email campaigns and respond to all tasting room inquiries
•  Actively promote the sale of wine, events and tours to members
•  Create ways to motivate and incentivize team to sell memberships
•  Assist with execution and coordination of membership events; help handling planning, promotion and managing reservations
•  Assistance with office administration tasks
•  Ensure that customer service standards and procedures are being upheld
•  Strong customer service, verbal and communication skills 
•  Self-motivated, takes initiative to complete tasks within a timely manner 
•  Represents the company and brand, professionally and graciously with both a professional appearance and demeanor
•  Knowledge of wines, wine production and the wine industry is a plus
•  Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
•  Proficient computer skills 
•  Ability to multi-task and stay positive in a busy environment with competing priorities
•  Must be able to lift 40lbs
•  Must be at least 21 years of age
•  Ability to work weekends, holidays, and some evenings

This position is full-time Wednesday-Sunday, or Thursday-Monday. We offer a competitive salary and benefits.
