Nevada Wine Cellars is in search of a Head Winemaker that is eager to be part of a company experiencing exponential growth while producing exceptional quality wines from our Fresno, San Diego and Nevada vineyards.

Ideal candidates possess the following qualifications:
•  A degree in Enology, Viticulture, Chemistry or related field.
•  Proficiency with winemaking equipment, techniques, and processes.
•  Knowledge of wine bottling equipment, techniques, and processes.
•  Practical knowledge of viticulture and farming for style. 
•  Order and maintain inventory of all production supplies.
•  Manage suppliers and production related vendors.
•  Research and develop winemaking techniques and trials to improve wine quality.
•  Develop and refine cellar maintenance and sanitation procedures.
•  Provide professional analysis for wine blending.
•  An understanding of cost of goods, capital expenditures and budgets.
•  Keep accurate notes and database on the winemaking process for each wine produced.
•  Develop and refine safety procedures and able to instruct team on all safety measures.
•  Friendly, respectful, and professional demeanor.
•  Ability to work long hours during harvest.
•  Eight years’ minimum experience with practical and technical aspects of the winemaking process including harvest, fermentation, cellar work and winemaking analysis.
•  Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
