JOB STATEMENT: Rosenblum Cellars Wine Bar, located on the beautiful waterfront at Jack London Square in Oakland, is seeking a part time (with potential for full time) Server to join our team!  We are a fun, energetic “family,” sharing wonderful wines with many new and existing customers.  Rosenblum Cellars, founded over 40 years ago by Kent Rosenblum, known as the “King of Zinfandel”, is an iconic winery with a loyal following.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

•    Winery, hospitality, restaurant server or bartending experience a big plus
•    High-level customer service and communication skills
•    Ability to keep calm, professional and respectful demeanor in a busy environment
•    A passion for wine and food
•    A team player, including willingness to help your fellow employees even when busy
•    A sincere love of people and a desire to serve to create an amazing customer experience
•    Effectively use our iPad POS system to place orders
•    Promote the sale and maintenance of wine club membership and build upon these relationships through correspondence and Club Member visits
•    Flexible schedule.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

•    Computer Skills
•    Over 21 years old

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•    Wines culture
•    iPad Order Entry
•    Communicate with customers and Sales personnel & office staff
•    Work under pressure

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

•    Ability to lift a 40 lb. case of wine
•    Stand and walk for long periods of time
•    Perform tasks using standard computer equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

•    Indoor/outdoor climate 

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:  

•    Proper footwear (closed toe, nonskid) are a must during shift.
