Job Description:


Amongst the best quality Champagne House in the world, we are recruiting a Brand Ambassador based in NYC. This position requires a passion for wine and sales excellence.

The keys to success in this position are being well organized, advanced planning with your distributor/trade relationships.


I. Position Summary

This position directs sales activities for NYC and the Northeast. This position will be responsible for achieving agreed upon goals as it relates to depletions and accounts serviced, as well as achieving revenue and budget targets. Works with the North American Director to develop area sales and marketing plans and budgets to be implemented at the wholesale level to deliver company growth objectives. Identifies business opportunities and pinpoints problem areas. Actively calls on key accounts. Interfaces with various levels of distributor management.


II. Essential Functions

a. Responsible for growing case sales and account distribution for the winery in NYC and the East Coast. Keep the High Profile positioning of the Brand and look after competition activities and reporting to the US office.

b. Maintains wholesaler and market profiles, to include pricing, distribution, volume and general market information

c. Work hand-in-hand with distributor managers and sales people to achieve all goals.

d. Follow-up on the execution by the distributor, insuring that all expectations are achieved.

e. Conduct frequent market workwiths to establish a strong and enduring presence with both the distributor and with the accounts.

f. Develop key relationships in every market with On and Off Premise Accounts: Develop a tracker list of the “Most Appropriate Accounts” (M.A.P.); work the list, moving Points of Distribution forward in the market.

g. Responsible for samples and use of POS in market area per allocated budget.

h. Conduct wholesaler sales and team meetings to promote brand positioning and product knowledge.

i. Interface with Company Management, as well as the Marketing team.


j. Work trade and Consumer events, to help move the brand forward in the market (These are frequently done in the evenings and on weekends).


III. Physical Demands/Qualifications

a. Must have sufficient strength to lift and carry boxes of materials weighing up to 40 pounds.

b. Ability to drive for long periods of time as necessary.


IV. Non-Physical Demands/Qualifications

a. Strong negotiative and relationship building skills

b. Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and deadlines

c. Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects

d. Good understanding of distributor workings, experience with a distributor desired

e. Successful track record of working within the industry, as well as generating a continuous drive towards excellence, quality and service

f. Ideally possesses a minimum of 2-3 years experience in the wine industry.

g. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must provide a DMV printout.

h. College degree desired. Proficient use with personal computer and applicable software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet Research, Microsoft Outlook.)

i. Ability to demonstrate integrity and good business judgment.

j. Ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic, passionate, self-motivated and be a strong team player.
