Bedell Cellars, the premiere winery located on the North Fork of Long Island, is searching for an outgoing, hard-working, professional candidate to work in our Tasting Rooms. Candidates must be enthusiastic, polished, a team player, articulate and service-oriented. The ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high-level of hospitality is a must, as well as the desire to become knowledgeable about wine.

Qualifications:

 

-         Must be able to work weekends and holidays

-         Experience in a hospitality related environment; wine, restaurant and/or hotel preferred

-         Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills

-         Remain professionally poised and positive while under pressure

-         Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs

-         Must be at least 21 years of age

Responsibilities will include:

 

-         Providing first rate hospitality to visitors of our Tasting Room

-         Imparting accurate information about our wines

-         Processing cash and credit card transactions

-         Maintaining a clean bar and Tasting Room

-         Work together with tasting room staff to fulfill any requests of the Tasting Room Manager as necessary

-         Daily task lists

-         Learn about our wines, philosophy, POS system and etc. Paid in-house training will be provided (mandatory attendance – advance notice will be given)
