Pricing Coordinator (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

We supply fine wines and craft spirits to restaurants, hotels and retail operations throughout the state of Illinois. In addition to our distributing operations we also import European selections with representation throughout most of the United States. 

Responsibilities:

In this newly created role our Pricing Coordinator will support our Management Team through quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting of sales, pricing and compliance information. Duties will include

  • Implement and maintain customer and chain pricing and performance plans.
  • Input and maintain pricing, discounts and special pricing programs.
  • Develop and maintain pricing reports and customer/chain scorecards.
  • Perform detailed program tracking for customer and chain pricing plans.
  • Create scheduled and ad hoc sales reports and analysis.
  • Uphold profit margins through understanding of our pricing strategy.
  • Update master records to define customer account segmentation.
  • Develop and maintain national mandate databases for ON premise universe.
  • Evaluate and recap performance, volume and compliance goals.
  • Prepare monthly price increase, price decrease and new item report.
  • Assist in building presentations and other deliverables for business reviews, general sales meetings, and customer reviews.
  • Take initiative in identifying and resolving issues around pricing and margin.
  • Perform maintenance of data dimensions and routine updating of tracking tools to promote accuracy and accountability.
  • Perform clerical and administrative support as well as other duties as needed.

Experience and Skills:

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of analytical work experience.
  • Excellent math, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Proficient at calculating margins, and reviewing comparative sales data for analysis.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
  • Ability to create complex Excel spreadsheets (advanced formulas, filters, macros & pivot tables).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point & Publisher).
