Cinder Staffing is searching for an experienced Winery Accountant for a direct hire opportunity with our client, a great wine estate in Newberg, OR. This is a full-time salaried position with a generous benefits package including a monthly wine allowance.

Job Description:

• Cash management
• Cost accounting for bulk and bottled wine
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Budgeting and GL maintenance
• Other administrative functions as assigned
• Demonstrable analytical, organizational, time management and interpersonal communication skills, as well as ability to focus on detail

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting tasks including A/P, A/R, bank reconciliation, and daily banking tasks
• Manage cash flow for the company
• Post all required monthly journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform overhead allocations
• Assist in the preparation of annual budget
• Prepare monthly financial reports for board meetings and report on significant budget variances
• Oversee bulk and bottled wine costing analysis
• Prepare and submit quarterly reports to the bank
• Work with the vineyard and winemaking crews to insure prompt invoicing for grape sales, contract farming or contract winemaking services
• Process bi-weekly payroll cycles

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the wine industry
• Expertise in MS Excel (using advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.) and QuickBooks
• Solid working knowledge of GAAP
• Relevant certification (CPA) is a plus
• BS/BA Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
