Eminent Domaine is a family owned, Newberg based vineyard and tasting room run by a passionate team focused on making and sharing world-class wines. Eminent Domaine is seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, articulate individual with a positive attitude to fill a maternity-leave role of weekend Tasting Room Associate.
The ideal candidate will be motivated and experienced in providing a top-quality hospitality. They must be flexible, detail oriented and always looking for the opportunity to impress our members and guests. The qualified candidate will be responsible for daily tasting room operations, sales, and promoting our wine club.
Timeframe: September 6 – December 1, 2019 Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays 10:30AM – 5:30PM
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Act as ambassador for the winery
• Provide guests with an outstanding and unique experience
• Build relationships by engaging guests in authentic conversation
• Effectively communicate with the management team and staff
• Maintain impeccable tasting room safety & cleanliness standards
• Perform opening and closing duties (including daily set up and cleaning tasks)
Experience & Qualifications:
• Prior experience wine industry is essential
• Minimum of 2 years retail and/or hospitality experience
• Strong communication, customer service, organizational and sales skills
• Ability to prioritize while handling multiple tasks
• Ability to listen
• Self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team
• Ability to speak comfortably and audibly in front of groups
• Basic computer skills and ability to work web-based POS system
o Experience with Orderport is a plus
• Must be able to work weekends and select holidays, and varied hours
• Valid Driver’s license
• OLCC Service Permit - valid and up to date before application submitted
• Professional demeanor
• Ability to lift 45 lbs.
• Ability to descend and climb stairs and stand for long periods of time
• Must be at least 21 years old
Compensation:
• Competitive hourly rate + Club sign-up bonuses
• Approximately 7 hours / 3 days a week
• Potential to expand role in growing company
• Seasonal position, closed for winter months
