Harvest Interns (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Job Description:

Hazelfern Cellars, located in Oregon’s Willamette Valley 45 minutes (Newberg, Oregon, 50 minutes SW of Portland), is looking for 2 paid harvest interns for the 2023 vintage.

Hazelfern is an exciting and fast-growing boutique winery with a focus on growing+making high quality and elegant single-vineyard Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. In addition, we also make a small amount of Rosé, Gamay Noir, and Trousseau Noir each vintage.

Being a boutique winery, you’ll join a small and tight-knit team of 3-4, and be very hands on with all aspects of harvest and production including cleaning and sanitation, vineyard maturity sampling, receiving/sorting fruit, monitoring/reporting on fermentations, barrel prep, punch downs, pressing, blending, racking, and bottling. We are not heavy on in-house lab work.

Requirements: Strong work ethic, positive (and fun!) attitude, reliability, detail oriented, excitement to work long hours during the peak of harvest, ability to work weekends and swing shifts, and ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in various temperatures and weather conditions. Prior winery/harvest experience is nice, but not a requirement.

Hazelfern offers a competitive hourly wage. We are not able to provide transportation or housing.

These 2 positions start early September and will run into and/or through November (depending on the harvest schedule).
