Acker is a leading Global Wine Auction House and the oldest wine Retailer in the United States. We are hiring a Wine Storage Account Manager to work in our new wine storage facility in Newark, DE.

As a Wine Storage Account Manager, you will be managing day to day storage operations. Inventory data entry, invoice creation, billing. overseeing staff, operations, inbound and outbound. All processes related to managing and maintaining a wine storage facility. Hiring new personnel, managing the warehouse space, etc.  The individual must be adept with technology tools, resourceful and hardworking.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising Wine Warehouse staff and daily activities
• Managing, evaluating, and reporting on warehouse productivity
• Business reporting
• Heavy data entry and robust computer operations
• Develop and oversee new processes
• Maintain and oversee including invoicing and accounts receivables
• Oversee receiving, storing, and delivering items
• Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Communicating with customers and other departments

Requirements:

• Wine Knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work
• Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management preferred
• Proficient with spreadsheet software and project management software
• Demonstrate ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Work as a team. At Acker, we are not limited to the defined roles, and contribute elsewhere when needed

This position works in a warehouse/storage setting, with some outdoor exposure during the day.  This role requires standing, walking and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.  The position is occasionally required to sit or climb a ladder. Regularly lifting of boxes over 50 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.
