National Sales Brokers & Sales Representatives (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Whanau Imports is a dynamic importer and distributor of high quality, boutique New Zealand wines. 
We are seeking experienced independent sales contractors throughout the United States and sales representatives for the New York, New Jersey territories.
Our ideal candidates have at least 2-3 years of fine wine sales experience and existing relationships with distributors, restaurant and retail accounts. 


Candidates must be dynamic, self-motivated, professional and capable of working independently. We are looking for someone who is passionate about wine and can sell.

Skills
• Two+ years of experience in fine wine sales with a history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Candidate should be focused, energetic, and organized. 
•  Must have experience building and maintaining account relationships.
• Territory familiarity and willingness to drive throughout the territory to visit 8-10 accounts a day is required.
• Ability to lift and pull 50 pounds on a regular basis. 
•  Must be willing to work evenings and weekends, as needed, for client events or producer visits.
• Requires wine knowledge and a passion for the wine industry
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a sales strategy for your territory.
• Build and maintain account relationships in the territory. 
•  Identify opportunities and establish relationships with new accounts.
• Maintain regular contact with accounts, including frequent on-site visits to sample products, provide customer support and monitor inventory levels. 
•  Solicit orders, obtain placements, prepare quotes, and create invoices in CRM tool. Track account level sales activities every week in CRM tool
• Assist with industry trade events and client events.
• Schedule and conduct wine tastings with customers to promote products and build awareness. Maintain sample tracking records.
• Escort winery producers to client visits, marketing events, tastings and trade events. 
•  Work with client and back office to resolve customer service issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Adhere to company policies and state regulations.
• Build knowledge about Whanau Imports brands and portfolio.
